Calling all brick lovers! Do you have a 5-9 year old child who LOVES creating and building with bricks and would like to make some new online friends? Or maybe, they already have lots of friends and would like to invite them to join us. The more the merrier! Enroll your learner (and friends) in one (or any) of the ongoing sessions and have them bring their bucket(s) of assorted bricks, including wheels and their happy self to class. Let's build and talk with each other while having fun doing what we love! During class, the learners will be encouraged to engage in conversation to get to know each other, socialize and make new friends. Each class will begin with introductions, followed by a discussion of the learner-directed theme for that class. Students will be monitored while they build and chat. I will interject comments to help facilitate and guide their conversations. They will have a chance to share past creations and talk about what they have built, are currently building or plan to build. Each class: 1. Welcome & Introductions 2. Learner-directed theme 3. Building, creating and sharing 4. Wrap-up & goodbye Suggested Learner Directed Themes: Zoo, landforms, amusement Park, pirates, space exploration, rainbow colors, transportation, rainforest, nature, earthquake in Brick Building City, dinosaurs, Egypt, landmarks, marble maze, state or country flag, colors, sports Materials- bricks, bricks and more bricks. Wow! That's a lot of bricks! I created this class to build and foster a positive and safe social group where learners feel comfortable being themselves and making meaningful connections with their peers. During class conversations, I will promote kindness and acceptance, allowing everyone to speak, share and listen to each other. This is an ongoing class that meets weekly. Coming to class consistently will help your learner build friendships and be more comfortable sharing in class. Are you ready? Let's go! **In an attempt to gain followers, learners and an excellent reputation, a positive, 5 star helpful review of this class and all of my classes is greatly appreciated.** ~TS

Newsflash: Hurricane Milton hit us hard here in Florida. I'm okay. No damage or injuries. We haven't had any power or Internet for the last few days. I have been using my little cell phone. I've had to cancel all of my Thursday and Friday classes. I apologize and will refund everyone enrolled. ~Teacher Sharon 9PM Friday I have power and Internet again! I am planning to have classes on Saturday.
Hello! My name is Sharon, Teacher Sharon. I am both thankful and excited to have this opportunity to help children from all over the world have fun while learning. I love making learning fun!
I have my Masters of Education (MEd) and over 20 years of experience teaching and learning from children of all ages. I have experience as a nursery school director, a Kid's Club supervisor (twice) and a classroom teacher for Pre-K through high school. I have also taught technology, after-school elementary science classes, cupcake decorating, and brick building.
I am very fortunate to have grown up overseas and have lived all over the world. My passions include creating fun, educational classes, scuba diving, traveling, science, crafting, my precious dog, cat, fish and snails and of course teaching.
I like to keep class sizes small to help learners engage and participate. If your child is interested in any of my classes that are not currently scheduled, or if a different time or day would work better for you, please feel free to contact me.
Learning in my classroom is engaging, energetic, fun, enjoyable, upbeat and entertaining. "Your child won't want to leave at the end of class and will beg to come back for more." (That's my superhero catch phrase.)
NOTE: I am very flexible with class scheduling. If you are interested in one of my classes, but you don't see it listed on a day or time that you want, please find a class that is already listed when you want the class. Send me a message and I will do my best to switch the class that you want with the one that is already listed.
I look forward to meeting/teaching your child. Have a wonderful day,
~Teacher Sharon🙂
