Class Experience
Students in this class will learn: -Which foods have certain nutrients? -How much of each nutrient does a kid need each day? -How the body digests food? This class will be fun and interactive. I will be reading excerpts (with permission from HarperCollins Children's Books) from a great nutrition education kids book called "Good Enough to Eat" by Lizzy Rockwell. I will then be asking comprehension questions throughout the class to make sure everyone is understanding the content. I will be...
Students will improve their understanding about why living a healthy lifestyle is so important for our bodies! It helps our bodies to function properly as we play, learn and grow. This is a practical and interactive class. The content can be easily applied throughout our daily lives. We cover everything from carrots to cookies!
Certified Families Health Coach, Bachelors in Public Health with a Specialization in Health Promotion.
I will be providing healthy recipes after the class to go along with the course content covered.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
