What's included

1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hours per week
Homework
1 hour per week. Students are encouraged to write new positive quotes in their journal or notebook and post their quote and/or affirmations from class to ponder through their week. They are also welcome to send me an inspiring quote before the next class that I can share with other students. I will try to read all the quotes brought by students to class. When we learn a new mindful technique and "do" it, they are encouraged to try it on their own and see if it feels good for them.

Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner - Advanced Level
Welcome to our class! We all struggle at times with feeling confident, good enough, etc. In this space we will learn and discuss ways to feel better about who we are, and recognize all we have in common with each other also!

We'll learn and read 3 new positive affirmations each week to build ourselves up and help us continue to do our best, feeding ourselves positive "Brain Food" and you'll will be encouraged to keep an affirmations journal and read your weekly affirmations daily. The more we read and process positive words as positive "brain food" they begin to become our "truth"! We begin to "Live" those words. We'll talk about and do small, simple practices of mindfulness that calm, energize, and build self esteem and inspire us to be all we can be, our true and authentic self.

The ultimate goal in our class is for learners to identify ways that they can build the self-confidence and self-worth needed to live happy and productive lives and recognize their value in life. I teach kindness and tolerance for all our differences, because those differences make us each unique and amazing! I love working with all types of students and helping them engage and feel more comfortable speaking in class.

Class will go as follows:
*Check in-What made you smile this week? What was a challenge or a bit stressful? Discussion with friends about things we have in common with each other. We have tools we can use to lessen our heavy emotions.
*Affirmations-Read them then say them with me to feed our brains "POSITIVE BRAIN FOOD".
*Discuss the topic for the week. (We will often find this topic in our affirmations and quotes).
*Read and study/discuss our quotes and how they can apply to us.
*We end with a small brain break or "Mindful Minute"! Learning tools we can use whenever we need a brain break from stressful moments, or a way to be more peaceful during our day.

Here a a long list of the many subjects we'll discuss and the outline of what each week will look like.

The time watching the class video could be just what they need during the week they have to miss!

**Class may run shorter than the schedule states if there is only one or two students in class.
***If a class stays at an enrollment of 0ne or two for 4 weeks or more I may choose to end that section and see if you'd like to transfer to a different section.
Learning Goals
Students are encouraged to add the weekly quotes and affirmations to a personal notebook and post their affirmations to see daily or read them daily to lift their spirits and encourage positive self talk, and personal change. These statements along with the positive quotes we study in class can help raise our energy level and build self-esteem. Learning to share encouraging statements with others also raises our energy level. We also learn and practice small, simple ways to be mindful.
