This ongoing class will have a challenge using building bricks for each session, you can choose which challenges you want to complete. #builder
Class experience
Students will be given a challenge each week. They will make sure they have the materials ready so they can spend the class time building. I will provide the challenge, try to give them ideas if they are having problems getting started, and then moderate the class while they work. They will be encouraged to describe what they are making and how it fits the challenge. Students can also give feedback as they are building. Students will be given a challenge for each week, using materials they find in the home.
I have taught STEM club for several years, led a competitive Battle of the Brains team, and organized Family Stem night and the yearly Career/STEM day.
Each week will need to come up with materials to make the challenge of the week. They can use other materials to help decorate their design.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Please make sure the student has the materials ready for class.
We might use some online examples if they need inspiration.
