Building Brick Pattern Power! (Pre-K and Kindergarten)
In this class early learners will gather together to explore repeating patterns with Lego® Bricks and through movement activities.
This is a hands-on, interactive class for students to explore and discuss patterns. We will use actions and building bricks to make patterns with 2 different descriptors such as ABAB, AABAAB...We will use building bricks of different colors and sizes to make patterns. Students will learn to identify the parts of and to continue repeating patterns.
All students should have access to many colorful building bricks. If students have a baseplate, that would be helpful but is not necessary for the class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
