Learning Objectives: To desribe the role of unique cells in the body and their function . Topics to cover: a. what is a cell? b. Where are cells found? c. List examples of specialise cell in the body d. Describe the role of specialise cell in the body : bone cell, red blood cell, white blood cell, egg cell, fat cell, bone cell, nerve cell, brain cells , skin cell, muscles cells Classroom strucutre and teaching style For both days of classes students will be welcomed, followed by an outline of the class objectives. I will then talk about each specialise celll, describe their structure and state their function . This will be aided by pictures, video presentation and powerpoint presentation Day1 of 2 1.Welcome and introduction of lesson 2. Video presentation of specialise cells 3. Discussion on what cells are and why we need them 4. Worksheet completion: Red blood cell, egg cell, white blood cell , bone cell 5. Quizzes and revison Day 2 of 2 1.Welcome and introduction of lesson 2. Video presentation of specialsie cells 3. Discussion on what cells are and why we need them 4. Worksheet completion: muscle cell, nerve cell, cilliated cell, skin cell, brain cell 5. Quizzes and revision Learners will interact through discussions, quizzes, and break out room sessions. No required experiences needed
Learning Goals
1.Students will learn to draw , label and describe the function of specialise cells in the body.
2.Students will build their confidence as they do a personal presentation on a specialise cell they will make for homework.
