Building Blocks of Fun: Build it, Show and Tell Drop In!

🧱 Welcome to our Building Blocks of Fun class!  We are all about creativity and want our learners to feel inspired.   🧱 

This class is an ongoing class where a challenge is given at the beginning of class.  This challenge can come in the form of a word or a phrase or even a location.  Our instructor will provide the word at the beginning of class and we will discuss how it might be interpreted to make sure every learner has some direction before they start.  In order to give everyone the same amount of time and to not spoil the challenge surprise, it won't be listed ahead of time. 

This is a 45 minute class and it will be broken down like this: 
 🧱  5-10 minutes Challenge given and discussed
 🧱  20 minutes of building
 🧱  Remaining time of show and tell

If your learner hasn't completed the challenge in this time, no problem!  That's what the classroom is for.  We can post our creations in the classroom for everyone to see when we finish.  

Building blocks of all sorts are a great way to explore engineering concepts and also allows for the investigation of abstract concepts being interpreted in concrete ways. 

Our classes are neuro-affirming and we welcome all learners of all abilities. 

This class is also non-competitive and as such support building while modeling for each other how to be supportive in our assessments of each other's work.
