Learning how to build your very own database can be an exciting prospect, especially when considering that the average annual salary for a data professional is around $70,000. In this course, pretending that we operate a small grocery store, we will build a fairly simple database for storing customer, order, order items and product information. We will be proceeding step by step, from start to finish, utilizing SQL coding within one of the most commonly used open-source database management systems known as MySQL. Please note that this course is a continuation of my course, Introduction to SQL, where we learned how to download MySQL, so it may be beneficial for your student to take that course first. This Building a Database course is an exciting opportunity to learn step-by-step how to create a database, and I hope to see your student in class soon!
