Description
Class Experience
My goal is to help young learners grow in their confidence as a reader & writer.
I am a certified Texas teacher with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood education. I'm also certified in English as a second language and Gifted and Talented trained. I have been extensively trained through the Science of teaching reading as well as balanced literacy trained. I have been teaching for 16+ years both in the classroom as a kindergarten and prekindergarten teacher as well as online teaching English to students in China. I have been nominated for teacher of the year in 2 different districts as well as received an award for top 3 BEST teachers in Parker county.
I will give homework as needed through parent communication that is catered to each student's needs.
Epic books is a great website that students can use to access leveled books for Free. Students can bring a pencil and paper to class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
letters/sounds and high frequency words Data trackers will be provided to parents so they can monitor their child's progress.
30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
