Description
Class Experience
This class is kept deliberately small at only 2 learners to make sure all the learners who attend get focused, personalised feedback. A great class to take with a sibling, friend, in a pod, or a chance to make a new friend, therefore. As well as being a nice, supportive environment for building confidence and skills. CLASS SECTIONS ARE OPEN AT REQUEST SO PLEASE MESSAGE ME WITH YOUR TIME ZONE AND SOME POSSIBLE TIMES YOU COULD DO A CLASS. In this ongoing class we will work on your learner's...
This class is taught in English.
In each class, learners will learn different voice, facial expressions, and body language techniques. They will also develop their confidence, focus, attention to detail and see what they are capable of when they venture outside their comfort zone.
I've acted in and directed productions of these stories and wrote an adaptation, so I know the characters extremely well. I am a fully qualified teacher (BAPA, PGCE) with 16+ years of experience teaching Drama (and Music, PSHCE, and English) and Performing Arts in bricks and mortar schools, where I currently still teach part-time, including running small group and 1:1 confidence-building workshops. I also have many years of experience leading community workshop schemes (like create a play in a week) and local drama groups for ages 4 to 16. As a professional actress, I've performed to children from ages 2-14 in theatres, arts centres, social clubs, historical properties, nurseries, and schools. Playing roles such as the Gingerbread man and a tortoise, to a wartime headmistress and Queen Elizabeth the first! With lots of Q & A and interactive workshops along the way. I then branched into presenting (live, events, radio, some TV, and for holiday companies across Europe) including some Voiceover work. I currently create and present drama and presenter tuition videos and have a regular podcast. I have produced and directed many productions (musicals and plays) as well, including some I have written myself.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
