Description

Class Experience

Learners will develop a strong, fulfilling yoga practice.
I am a CYT 200 hour yoga teacher with training in yoga for children and teens, accessible yoga, trauma informed yoga, yin yoga, restorative yoga, and yoga nidra.  I teach yoga both in person and on Zoom for Outschool, in my community and at my public middle school.  I love yoga for all it's benefits and can teach it to anyone!
I am also a secondary teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience both in person and on Zoom.
No homework is required, but learners are strongly encourage to practice several times a week.
It is suggested that learners have: a yoga mat, comfortable clothing, a yoga blanket and, possibly, some yoga blocks and a bolster.

Towels, blankets and pillow can be substituted but please make sure that any towels or blankets in place of a yoga mat do not slide on the floor.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
As with any physical activity, parents should be aware of possible injury.  Learner should have ample room to move, wear comfortable clothing that the learner can move in, have any needed props or supports.  If you have specific concerns, please share them with me and supervise your learner as needed.
Note: difficult poses such as headstands, shoulder stands and challenging inversions will not be taught or practiced.
