Description
Class Experience
Turkey or ham? Mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes? With the holiday season upon us, let's have some fun and build a Christmas feast while learning some math skills at the same time! In this one-time class, your learner will be given multiple different food choices to build their own Christmas feast. I will provide a worksheet (or a blank piece of paper will do just fine) for them to record their food choices and draw their feast. Each learner will be given time to share their plate of...
Students will practice making choices, drawing/coloring their feast, and speaking and interacting with the class. In addition, learners will leave class having an understanding of the meaning of more and less, as well as practice graphing the food choices made as a whole class!
No homework is assigned, but learners may continue to build upon their Christmas feast at home, as well as continue to practice graphing and using more and less!
1 file available upon enrollmentA handout will be provided prior to class, or your learner may use a blank piece of paper, and crayons/markers!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
