Build With Bricks Show & Tell/ Challenge Club - Building Bricks (Ages 4-7)
Children will get to show off their creativity by showing & telling about their brick creations! Each child will also be given a "brick building challenge" with a time limit to create something special that I announce on the spot.
I love building with bricks! It is such a great way for children to be creative. This class has a lot of fun elements to it. * First, there is the show and tell part. Learners will bring one of their favorite "brick builds" and they will get to have a moment in the spotlight while they get to show off their creation. They will get to practice speaking in front of their peers. They will also get to practice listening. Learners will be encouraged to ask questions to each other about...
I want each learner to: *Gain confidence in speaking in front of their peers. *Learn how to verbalize their thoughts. *Be a courteous listener. *Be an active listener. *To encourage others. *Have a moment to shine by showing off their creativity. *Be challenged to create something new in a short time period. *Meet friends with common interests.
Each learner will need to create something before class out of their building bricks to share during show and tell. Also, each learner will need to bring bricks to class with them to complete the challenge.
A completed creation that they made out of their building bricks, and some lose building bricks for when we do the challenge time.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
