Welcome! The English language is dominated by Greek and Latin roots and learning the meaning of these word parts will increase your learner's vocabulary understanding and academic performance. Math and science terminology are particularly full of Greek and Latin roots and suffixes. What is a "word detective"? Learners are welcome to join the class at any time during the week and will be assisted to participate in all activities with "flashcards" to print to support engagement and interaction. This is a fun class that empowers students to become WORD DETECTIVES. ***** In this class, we play free games with links to KAHOOT and BLOOKET. Kahoot and Blooket are gaming platforms that are used to help students practice and reinforce skills. To keep the flow of the class going, please learn how to open a new tab on the computer or have another device ready to play these games. Please consider setting up a free BLOOKET account before we meet by going to blooket.com . Students enjoy collecting “coins” to purchase their own Blooks.
