Build, Design, and Fly Paper Airplanes
In this one time class, students will learn how to build two unique airplanes! Then they will get to test fly them!

As a child, I loved making paper airplanes! My favorite part was coming up with different designs and folds, then testing them to see how far they would go! In this class, I want to bring that fun to your children! We will learn how to make two different paper airplanes, both being unique and fun in their own way! After we fold and build, students will get to decorate and design them with art supplies of their choice. The best part comes next. Whether they head outside, or find a big open space inside, the test flying phase begins! The students will get to fly their planes and see how far they go. Didn't work? That's ok! We will then discuss what went wrong and try to make adjustments. My classes are always full of laugher and fun! I want your child to feel comfortable and be themselves!

Students will work on their fine motor skills, problem solving, and listening skills as they follow directions.

Parental Guidance
If your child will be flying the planes outside, parental supervision is recommended.
Supply List
A plastic straw, tape, scissors, piece of cardstock paper (regular paper is okay if you don't have it), one posterboard (the thin one), markers or crayons, craft supplies of choice to decorate with.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! My name is Ms.Heather! I am married to Kenny, and we have a beautiful four year old boy, Alyas! My family and I are full-time living in a travel trailer, traveling the country! I was a Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher for 5+ years, have taught ESL online for 4 years to children ages 3-16 in China, and was the Director of a Developmental Day School for 3 years! I was very shy before I started my teaching career, and what helped me break out of my shell was being silly, so I enjoy doing this with my class too! When planning my lessons, I make sure to give myself enough time to get through the whole lesson, but I also allow for flexibility, as lesson plans will not always go as planned. Children like to talk and I see nothing wrong with this, as we can learn just as much talking as we can with me teaching from the lesson itself!
