Class experience
Note: This course only takes one to four students per session to allow for personal attention as needed. Build Confidence helps your child become more comfortable and confident with who they are and also helps them identify the gifts they have to share with the world around them. The following are the topics for each week: Week 1: Giving and Earning Respect: students will define and analyze the concept of respect Week 2: Identifying Strengths and Weaknesses: students will identify their strengths and pinpoint ways to use their perceived weaknesses to advantage Week 3: Clarifying Values: students will analyze how their values influence the decisions they make Week 4: Avoiding Stereotypes: students will analyze the effects of applying stereotypes to people Week 5: Developing Personal Power: students will recognize that they have the power to affect change and produce the results they want in their lives
I am a life skills coach, mother, grandmother, teacher, and community youth leader. I have heard many stories from children about being bullied, ignored, and misunderstood. I have also heard many stories about friendship, appreciation, and caring. It hurts to hear stories in the first three categories and I have made it a goal to help as many children as possible become confident in themselves. Why? It is in that confidence where our children can find strength, friends, appreciation, and caring.
