In this ongoing course, students will meet weekly to practice their creative writing skills by engaging in creative writing exercises to develop their writing journals.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
This class was created to help serious young creative writers develop a writing journal and regularly practice their writing skills with their peers. At the beginning of class, I will give a new and engaging writing exercise. Then, we will write anywhere from 25-30 minutes, depending on how the students are doing with that particular exercise. Then, students will have the opportunity to share their work with the other students. This is a totally optional element of this class. There is no prior knowledge needed to attend any of these classes, other than basic creative writing skills. If you are interested in participating in this course but the time doesn't work for you, please let me know what EST time and day you are interested in. I will do my best to accommodate your student's schedule. Please reach out if you have any questions!
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to keep a writing journal. Students will learn how to give constructive criticism to other students on how to improve their work. Students will practice receiving constructive criticism and applying it to their work.

There are no sensitive topics in this class.
Supply List
The only materials needed to complete this class are a pencil (or pen) and a notebook. For serious writers, I recommend keeping a writing journal and using it for these workshops.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
