Use toaster pastries, royal icing, and candy to create a Christmas wonderland! Learners will cut toaster pastries into shape, make royal icing, and then decorate their masterpieces in this no-bake holiday challenge.

Description

Class Experience

Learners will be able to make royal icing from scratch.
Learners will be able to cut, assemble, and decorate gingerbread houses.
I have been baking and decorating for many years. I love challenging myself with new projects!
Learners will need:
- 6 toaster pastries, any flavor
- ~ 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- ~ 1 tbsp water
- Decorations of their choice (candies, sprinkles, cereal pieces, etc.)
- A cutting board
- A serrated knife
- Piping bag and round tip or a ziploc bag
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Learners will be using a knife during class. Please ensure that your learner is supervised and/or can do so safely.
