Description
Class Experience
Students will learn that stories have specific elements, including but not limited to setting, characters, problem and solution. Students will develop oral story telling techniques. Students will take turns speaking and learn to graciously agree and disagree with ideas from other children. Students will create a visual representation of an oral collaborative story.
As a Charlotte Mason inspired homeschooling parent, I enjoy guiding children to become great storytellers and future writers.
Students will need to bring their own LEGO bricks to class. Any type, size or brand will work, including Duplo. If you are new to building with LEGO, a box like this one is a fun place to start. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
