Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 3
Beginner Level
🎉 Welcome to Build a Story- Wild Animals Edition! 🎉

Get ready to dive into the exciting world of story writing! In this class, you'll learn how to create your very own tales by choosing from a variety of characters, settings, problems, and solutions. I'll show you how to weave these elements into the three main parts of a story and the magic of using adjectives to bring your story to life.

You'll get hands-on practice with worksheets designed to guide you through the beginning, middle, and end of your story. Don't worry if you can't print them out—just grab some paper and a pencil, and you're all set! After class, you'll have time to polish your writing and add your own illustrations.

What You Need to Know:
1. Write complete sentences in English with proper punctuation and capitalization.
2. Understand and summarize the main ideas of a story.
3. Retell a story's events and use both first-person and third-person points of view.
4. Edit your own writing for spelling and punctuation.

Classroom Fun:
-Arrive on time, be kind and polite, speak clearly, and most importantly, have fun!
-Bring your worksheets (or lined paper) and a pencil.

For Parents/Guardians:
In the second half of the lesson, your child will write one sentence for each part of their story. We'll work together to get them started, but since our class is only 30 minutes, we won't finish the entire story in class. Please help your child complete their story afterward, focusing on spelling, punctuation, and capitalization. Encourage them to finish their illustrations too! Once done, consider hole-punching the pages and putting them in a folder or stapling them to create a cherished keepsake.

Let's make some amazing stories together! 📚✨
