Class Experience

In this class, students will have the opportunity to be creative and use their imagination! In each class, they will be given a story starter or a theme. For example, students may be told to choose 3 minifigs and tell a story about what happens when the minifigs go on vacation. Students will choose how they want their story to end. They will create a Lego scene to match their individual story. At the end of the build time, students will be able to quickly share how they finished the story and show their Lego creation.

Learning Goals

Students will learn how to use their imagination and create a story. They will gain public speaking confidence by sharing their ideas and stories with the group.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! Welcome to my classroom! I look forward to meeting you! I am a homeschooling mom of three. We are entering our 10th year of homeschooling. I love the freedom homeschooling gives us to develop our children's interests and work at their own pace.

I have a degree in Education with a minor in Psychology. Prior to homeschooling, I had a faculty position with the College of Family and Consumer Sciences Extension at the University of Georgia. I taught adults and children classes on child development, financial education, health, and food safety. I also have a TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) certification. I began teaching English online to children in China and Hong Kong in 2017 and still love to see my students online every morning. I love teaching online! It is so fun to build connections with students from all over the world. I love learning from them and discovering new things together.
