Build a Miniature Piano
Class experience
In this class students will leave the class knowing: the components of Arduino, understand code language like digitalWrite and delay, as well as how resistors work to slow down electricity through a circuit. The structure of the class will be students enter the classroom and we will engage in an introductory ice breaker, then students will be shown an overview of what the goal of the class is, and shown an example of a completed functional electronic piano. The structure of the class will be students enter the classroom and we will engage in an introductory ice breaker, then students will be shown an overview of what the goal of the class is, and shown an example of a completed functional electronic piano. My style of teaching is structured around prioritizing student engagement, I will assign students parts in which they will be responsible for speaking about at the end of the lesson. My intention behind that is so that students get the fun out of the lesson, but also gain an understanding of what it is they are building. Students do not need to have any experience in Arduino as this class will be taught from the lens of an overview for students to be able to absorb the information, but also have fun and use their imagination to create things.
I have a passion for teaching classes in Programming specifically using Python as well as classes that work with building cool things! I have been working on both spaces for about 4 years now and I love the work that I have been able to do, but...
