In this 3 part class, students will explore the basics of a business plan, problem solve, and collaborate. Each student will create a real or imagined business as a tool for exploration.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this fun and informative 3 part class, students will chat, collaborate, and explore how to start a business - whether real or imaginary! We will use an introductory "Business Plan Worksheet" I created to explore business topics like marketing, pricing, talking about your business, asking for help, and self awareness for business success. Students do NOT need to have a "real" business idea to participate, they can come with a hint of a business idea, an imaginary business, or something...
Students will learn about the underpinnings of a business plan, helping them hone in on what they need to work on. Students will practice participating in collaborative conversations - one of the great joys of business life.
I have had a small business for 12+ years, in fact, I have run small businesses in vintage goods, handmade jewelry, craft events, business workshops, and business consulting. I have 25+ years of work experience in food service, marketing, non-profit work, environmental policy, urban planning, writing, and much more! I have worked with young folks on business topics for around 5 years, and have taught adult business workshops for the same amount of time. I have taught social media marketing and other business topics to thousands of learners.
