Hola y bienvenido! In this circle time adventure young leaners will be introduced to preschool and kindergarten concepts. Learners will set sail on an exciting and playful journey as they are introduced to Spanish! This class is perfect for beginners and offers a new, exciting adventure each day. This class is designed to teach young leaners the days of the week, months of the year, colors, shapes, numbers and the alphabet as well as a math and sight words. During each meeting we will review class rules, sing our introduction song, calendar time, review the weather, review the letter of the week, learn basic math concepts like simple addition and patterns these concepts will be taught in both Spanish and English concurrently. Leaners will interact with their classmates during show and tell, story time, or scavenger hunts. Students will practice their writing and optional worksheets will be provided for you to use in class or after for additional practice. My goal for Circle Time is to create a fun and safe environment where young learners' can interact, learn school manners like listening and waiting, and learning to communicate and express themselves. Hello Outschool families, my name is Dani Schreffler and I am incredibly excited to work with you and your families. I received my degree in Speech and Hearing sciences and l have worked with children ranging from ages 4-16 years old for the last 13 years as an online teacher, daycare teacher, tutor and Sunday school teacher. I am raising 3 of my own children currently and have homeschooled them for the last 3 years using curriculum that is engaging and fun while meeting state standards.
I am a veteran of the United States Navy where I work as a Hospital Corpsman and Education Training Officer in charge of preparing sailors for advancement exams and ensuring high passing rates for my division. Through my duties I was able to learn valuable skills that have prepared me for success in the civilian world both as an educator and a person. I grew up in Los Angeles as a first generation American and am a native Spanish speaker and currently hold a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate. I believe that children learn best when they are engaged and entertained and that is why I keep my classes fun, entertaining and most importantly educational.
