Week 1: Intro to Budgeting
-Differentiate between income and expenses
-Classify expenses into needs or wants
-Think critically about how daily choices impact their budget now and in the future
Week 2: Budgeting Strategies
-Define wealth and differentiate it from “having lots of fancy stuff”
-Understand the  importance of creating a budget and paying themselves first
-Describe the key aspects of three popular budgeting strategies - 50/30/20, Zero-based, and Cash Envelope
Week 3: Complete a Budget
-Differentiate between gross and net pay
-Create a budget
-Research and choose appropriate budgeting apps
Week 4: Budgeting in the Gig Economy
-Define the gig economy and freelancing
-Understand the financial implications of working in the gig economy
-Acknowledge the importance of saving if you work a gig job

I am from the United States and have been teaching various business, marketing, and finance courses for 13 years. I have taught both at the high school and collegiate level. I teach both in person and online but online is my favorite! I have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Business Information Technology Education, a Masters in Business Administration and a PhD in Online Education.
