This course will read the book Bud Not Buddy and track the protagonist's coming of age story alongside our own while drawing parallels to the main character's struggles and joys with their own lived experiences.
Class experience
In this class, the students will use pen and paper along with computers/Ipads. They will also need the book Bud Not Buddy which will be provided to them as a PDF, or they can find it from a library. They will interact with the teacher via this platform through chat. Class structure: 1. 5 minutes greeting/waiting for students 2. 5 minutes of free writing. 3. 5-10 minutes homework review (share thoughts or insights with class) 4. 5-10 minutes guided lesson on a topic from the book. 5. 10...
TLW read Bud Not Buddy and show an understanding of the topics covered by written work, video presentations, and journaling. The Learner will connect the topics to everyday life and experiences.
