Bucket Drumming- A Class for Preschoolers
This 4 week class will teach the beginnings of reading rhythms, practice developing fine motor skills, and give your little drummer a constructive way to keep banging on pots, pans, and buckets!

Description
Class Experience
Students will demonstrate an understanding of forte and piano sounds by playing loudly and soft Students will demonstrate the proper technique to hold a drum stick Students will develop finger dexterity by participating in "finger plays" Students will practice their gross motor skills through drumming Students will engage with stories Students will use close listening skills to imitate rhythms
Each week I will have practice rhythms and a worksheet that students can work on between meetings.
One bucket/trash can/pot Drum sticks or dowel rods
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will read the following books in class: Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See - Bill Martin Jr. & Eric Carle Chicka Chicka Boom Boom - Bill Martin Jr. & John Archambault
