Broadway's Phantom of the Opera; Trivia, Discussion, Singing, and More!

Students should leave class understanding the basic history, storyline, characters, and music from the show Phantom of the Opera.  
They should also learn some basic vocal types that can help them achieve the "Broadway Sound"  or "Opera Sound". 

 Anne Martin is currently a professional vocalist in Florida. She began her career as a singer at the age of 13, recorded 3 CD's before her 21st birthday, and has sung in several choirs, musical theater productions, and special events in multiple states across the US over the course of the last 20 years. She graduated with a degree in Music and has been teaching music for over 10 years.  She currently resides in Florida and has appeared twice at the Tampa Bay Rays stadium to sing the National Anthem, has been in productions at both Manatee and Sarasota Players Theaters, and also sang several concerts with Sarasota's professional Choral Artists.  In the last three years, she has been singing around the state with her husband in their own shows and they are known as "The Martin Duo".  www.themartinduo.com .

We will look at Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical "Phantom Of The Opera".  Some pictures and audio clips of characters and performers will also be shared.
