Hello future Broadway stars and singers! I am so excited for you to check out my newest theater club made especially for singers. In this club you will learn proper vocal technique as we warm up our voices through vocal exercises and explore a different musical number each week. We will also learn about the musical our song is from as we work on character development and emotional expression. Learners will have a chance to sing solo but this will never be required as I want my learners to work at their own pace with encouragement and guidance. I strive to create an environment where learners feel welcome, safe and inspired! Hello parents and learners! I am a Theater teacher as well as a professional actress, voice-over artist, and singer. I teach a variety of classes dedicated to theater and music. I invite you to check out my online classroom!
I have a Bachelor's degree in Dramatic Arts and 13 years of experience working in Theater Arts and Music education with all ages from toddlers to adults. I worked as a theater and music teaching artist at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville, Tennessee for the past 8 years as well as the Disney Musicals in Schools program bringing the magic of Disney to elementary and middle schools.
I have worked at The Great Lakes Theater in Cleveland, Ohio bringing classic theater to grades K-12 as both a professional actor and teacher and I am a former vocal coach at the School of Rock.
I love teaching and giving my students the necessary tools to become theater and music artists themselves. My goal is to build their confidence and help them make a personal connection with what they are learning. And of course, have fun along the way!
I am a mommy to a sweet 5-year-old boy, 3 year old girl and a brand new baby boy. I am also married to a wonderful fellow Outschool music teacher named Jared. I have an adorable dog named Walt who you may even see in the classroom. See ya soon!Reviews
