Does your child sing and dance around the house? Well this is class makes them the Broadway star! In this semester long class, students will learn the foundation of acting, singing, and dancing. We will explore enhance their ability making them the star they are. We will explore hit Broadway musicals & musical movies throughout our class! These include The Greatest Showman, Frozen, Aladdin, Descendants, Baby Shark and much more. Students will learn basic foundations of acting, singing, and dancing. In class we will work on music from a particular musical or movie. Then we will talk about what it means and how it makes them feel. Then we will add choreography or movement. By the end of the semester, students will be more confident in their performance abilities. Students will also play acting and dance games, explore making props, and costumes for the show we are learning about. We will also view short clips from performances. Our class will start with a physical warm-up, a few ice breaker games, then students will learn songs and add movement to them. There is no experience necessary, just the love for the art! This class is hands-on, and students will actively participate. We believe that ALL students can be successful! There are no prerequisites, but since this class moves fast it is recommended that you have a strong desire to learn and try the best you can. This is a great class for students to be introduced into the world of theatre and dance. We look forward to seeing you in the classroom!
