In this class, students will learn how to write descriptive short stories to retell events in life. These events are called "Small Moments," but they could be meaningful, important, or special in some way. Class outlines: 1. Small moment idea generation and writing a catchy introduction by "jumping into" the moment. 2. Writing the middle of the story- learn about dialogue, plot, and strategies for creative descriptions. 3. Writing the end of the story and revision. 4. Editing and final publication. Write a new story using the same method. Each class will have some instruction on writing techniques, and some time to complete the given assignment. If students don't finish, they can work on it for homework.
