In this one time class students bring their favorite pet to class and write about them. Writing is often a dreaded part of learning for many students. Bring your favorite furry friend to help spark the creative juices and have some fun :)

US Grade 1 - 4
1) What will be taught? In this one time class students will write about their favorite pet. Students will practice their writing skills while getting to write about and show off their favorite furry friend. They will also get to see different students pets as well. 2) What topics will I cover? The topic covered in this class is creative writing. Students will learn how to develop a great creative writing piece about their pet. I will teach them about writing a lengthy story with a...
Students will learn how to expand on their writing knowledge and get practice by writing about something they love, their pet. We will work on being detailed in their writing, along with checking for correct grammar. Students will also learn how to write lengthy writing samples. I will use the beginning, middle, and end anchor chart. Lots of times students write a couple sentences and call it good. I will help students by getting them to write more.

The homework for this class will be to have students read their writing piece to a family member after class.Assessments Offered
