Description

Class Experience

Learners will...
- read, comprehend, and discuss a 5th grade leveled novel. 
- learn 5th grade reading skills and identify them within the text.
- discuss reading skills with same-aged peers. 
Ms. Emily is currently a 5th grade teacher with a masters degree in Literacy. 
Learners will read 2-3 chapters per session. If time runs out, learners will be asked to complete the reading section independently. 
A copy of Bridge to Terabithia (ebook or printed), pencil, and paper.
3 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
One theme that will be discussed is grief in chapters 10-11. Please be prepared to discuss grief with your child.
