Class Experience

Freeze Camp scratched the surface of our freezes. Now let's refine our skills through games and drills.

Week 1 (Freeze Review + Combos)
- Feedback/Review of Freezes so students can master them
- Teacher shows students how to connect the freezes they mastered
- New Game: Stacks

Week 2 (Musicality + Variations)
- Students train their musicality with games and challenges so they can match their freezes to the beats.
- Students will practice variations to also match with the musicality training
- New Game: Hit the Beat

Week 3 (Custom Freezes/Upgrades)
- For freezes students have mastered, teacher will help learners customize and upgrade them
- Cypher King Topic: Best custom freeze

Week 4 (High Level Freezes)
- After confirming balance in prerequisite freezes, teacher will begin teaching freezes where students are higher in the air (straight arms). This includes a handstand and a 1-handed move called a Pike.

Parental Guidance
My "Outschool Breakdance" Spotify playlist is an external resource available for all students. You'll need to create a basic account to access it for free (on shuffle mode) or a paid account to select specific songs from the list. Music is a mix of hip-hop and funk, but has been screened for appropriate lyrics. Wrist warm-ups/exercises will be required for learning/practicing the bottomrock moves. It is also advisable that students should wear comfortable shoes (sneakers) and clothes for dancing (not oversized). As well, students should have a clear open space for dancing and a distance from the computer that allows me to see them from head to toe in order to ensure they're doing the moves properly. A water bottle is also required for brief breaks.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I traveled around the world (40+ countries) while teaching and learning from the local dancers. Also, I was mentored by a world renown breakdancer while living in Korea for three years. This mentorship mixed with my experience and personal training has made me particularly knowledgeable and skilled in the topic.
