Hello, sports fans! My name Is Tonya Whitaker, your teacher for Sports Blogging For Teens. My career as a sports journalist began in high school. During my junior year on the yearbook staff, I was appointed co-sports editor, where I wrote stories and snapped photos at football games. As a professional, I spent 20 years as an editor and writer for three Texas newspapers. My work in sports journalism and sports blogging is found in print and online coverage of 2 Olympics (Summer and Winter), 2 Super Bowls, 2 NFL Drafts, and countless state championship competitions (both public and private schools). Since 2014, I have taught English composition to Dallas high school and community college students.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
