2-4 hours per week. All "homework" is referred to as "training" to reinforce the goal of building skills rather than the negative connotation that the word "work" has. Daily training is to upgrade their arsenals and practice new moves with the song of the day.Class Experience
We´ve been building our arsenals, styles, and knowledge. Now it´s time we put our moves to the test with our classmates! We will train skills to help us become more confident in a battle. This camp will also have us explore new moves and build with past moves as we expand our arsenals and build new sets. Every class begins with a quick exercise warm-up followed by warm-up stretches as the teacher explains the skills we´ll be reviewing for the day. Training games vary by day and battles will arise randomly depending on the available time in the class. Each week has a theme and it´s own certified tough moves for students to challenge themselves further as they expand their arsenals (dance vocabulary). See breakdown below for a more detailed look at each week´s skill building. Weekly Breakdown Week 1 (Burns + Aiming Moves) Week 2 (Confidence + Skill Building) Week 3 (Musicality Training) Week 4 (Response Training) Week 5 (Certified Tough Check in + Battle Day)
Learning Goals
By the end of Camp Students will

My "Outschool Breakdance" Spotify playlist is an external resource available for all students. You'll need to create a basic account to access it for free (on shuffle mode) or a paid account to select specific songs from the list. Music is a mix of hip-hop and funk, but has been screened for appropriate lyrics.
Wrist warm-ups/exercises will be required for learning/practicing the bottomrock moves. It is also advisable that students should wear comfortable shoes (sneakers) and clothes for dancing (not oversized). As well, students should have a clear open space for dancing and a distance from the computer that allows me to see them from head to toe in order to ensure they're doing the moves properly. A water bottle is also required for brief breaks.
Pre-Requisites
Students should know 3-5 steps in each of the main categories of breaking. Students should have an arsenal with 2-3 sets in their muscle memory & 3 set-up chains for 3 different freezes. All this is taught in Camps 1 (Foundation) -> Camp 4.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I traveled around the world (40+ countries) while teaching and learning from the local dancers. Also, I was mentored by a world renown breakdancer while living in Korea for three years. This mentorship mixed with my experience and personal training has made me particularly knowledgeable and skilled in the topic.
