Class Experience
In this 55 minute class, students are introduced to Portuguese language and Brazilian culture. Lead by a native speaker, students will expand their Portuguese foundation in a fun environment. Students will enjoy socializing with one another while doing activities like Bingo and Jeopardy. Students will work on further developing reading comprehension and speaking skills. Rafael Silva was born in Brazil and is a native speaker of Portuguese. He graduated with a B.A. in Psychology with a focus on learning and education at the Washington University in St. Louis. He has also tutored students in Portuguese and various other subjects since October 2020.

This course offers numerous levels to help students build their speaking and comprehension skills. Classes are taken in the following order unless the instructor states otherwise: Level 0- No experience with the language Level 1- Some experience Level 2- Knowledge of alphabet, number, and basic greeting required Level 3- Knowledge of common nouns and verbs required. Level 4- Ability to speak in full sentences required. Level 5- Ability to ask and answer questions and hold a discussion required. Level 6- Ability to comprehend questions and hold a discussion required.
