In this one-time class, students will learn how to greet someone for the first time, introduce themselves, and ask and answer simple questions in Brazilian Portuguese.

Class Experience

This one-time course is a great way to learn some basic greetings and introductions in Brazilian Portuguese.  

Learners will learn through instruction and modeling by the teacher, followed by individual practice and interactive role play.  Emphasis will be placed on using Portuguese in a conversational setting.  This is a beginner level, introductory course. Portuguese is my second language of 20+ years.  I have a love for the language, culture, and people of Brazil, and I love to share that knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion with my learners.  Furthermore, because of my professional background in studying phonology and linguistics in teaching English as a second language, I have a unique perspective and understanding on how to teach and learn language.  Plus, I find language and culture learning fun!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
