This ongoing class will offer time to talk in Portuguese, learn new words, explore the culture, and make new friends.

Class Experience

This class will include new vocabulary, conversation practice, and information on the culture in Brazil.  Each session will have a different emphasis or topic.  Depending on the subject there might be games, slides, or discussion.  The students do not need to be fluent in Portuguese as this is a beginner class but a desire to learn the language and learn more about Brazil is necessary. This class may also have some question and answer sessions with Vicki about her time living in Brazil....

Students will learn more about the language and culture of Brazil.  They will be exposed to new vocabulary, the culture, and the Brazilian viewpoint of various things.

I lived in Brazil for 7.5 years and have made 11 trips to Brazil outside of that time.

Brazil is a tropical country and sometimes modesty is different than the USA standard.  This class might have a beach scene or talk about Carnaval.  I will pick more conservative pictures but need to stay true to the culture of the country.
