In this one-time class, we will learn about techniques to handle day-to-day ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) challenges. We will explore what ADHD is, common ADHD challenges, and ways techniques can be used to handle day-to-day ADHD. Toolbox techniques such as setting daily routines, decreasing distractions, clear communication, taking breaks, and dividing tasks into smaller tasks. The class will become familiar with the common challenges of ADHD and techniques that may help manage ADHD. This class is structured with power-point slides that are easy to follow along with. It is HIGHLY recommended the students take a class prior to this called "Brain Things!: ADHD in the Human Brain" before enrolling in this class. This class will provide a solid foundation and understanding of ADHD before learning coping skills. I believe in teaching the students through experiences rather than memorization. The more the students participate and interact with fellow students and the teacher, the more we will get out of the class. I use a person-centered and positive teaching approach. All that is required of this class is to be ready to have fun. Let's have fun and dive into the complex world of the human brain! (Coupon available until Jan. 17, 2022) Coupon code: ANGEL6BSX43
