In this one-time class, we will learn about techniques to handle day-to-day ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) challenges. We will explore what ADHD is, common ADHD challenges, and ways techniques can be used to handle day-to-day ADHD. Toolbox techniques such as setting daily routines, decreasing distractions, clear communication, taking breaks, and dividing tasks into smaller tasks. I have a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling with a specialization in addictions counseling. I also have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Nutrition. I have taught brain functions, processes, and anatomy for two years.
It is HIGHLY recommended the students take a class prior to this called "Brain Things!: ADHD in the Human Brain" before enrolling in this class. This class will provide a solid foundation and understanding of ADHD before learning techniques.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
