Description

Class Experience

I can identify 5 short vowel sounds when shown a letter.
As an educator for 5+ years, I have a lot of experience developing and implementing brain break activities in my classroom. I have found these brain breaks extremely important for my own classroom management as well as student achievement. Students need increased opportunities to move. Creating meaningful movement attached to learning allows students to continue to gain academic skills while staying active.
There will be no assigned homework, however students will be encouraged to continue practicing their short vowel exercises.
Students will not need any materials for this class - they will need to have enough space to move freely. (They should be able to lay down on the floor with their arms and legs out without touching anything.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There will be no formal assessment for this class - parents will receive a message indicating level of student involvement/ engagement in the class.
15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be up and moving during this class and will need ample space to do so. It's important for students to stretch and maintain healthy hydration in order to perform the movements in this lesson. Closed toed shoes are not required, but may be helpful in preventing injury in some spaces.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
