In this ongoing class we will look at multiple optical illusions and learn how they work!
Class experience
Each week we will explore various optical illusions and learn how they work. We will also work with some of these optical illusions, allowing students the opportunity to annotate on the screen and work as a group to discuss what is going on in the picture. With each illusion, we will learn how certain patterns, colors and images are arranged in particular ways that "trick" our brains into seeing something that is not actually happening. Students will learn about optical illusions and gain a basic understanding of how our brains tend to process different images and why those images are sometimes distorted. They will learn communication skills and practice critical thought as they express what they are seeing.
