During our live interactive lessons, learners will come to understand that the two most important parts of the body used in singing are the brain and ears. We will do listening games to learn how to identify higher and lower pitches, as well as, practicing matching pitches with the voice. Learners will also learn how to breathe for the support of their singing voices and how to take care of their "singing machine" (diaphragm, lungs, vocal folds and head). Each lesson will include vocal warm-ups, listening games, and work on vocal repertoire. Each learner will have the opportunity to choose the type of age-appropriate music they would like to sing (art songs or Broadway musicals). By the end of this class, learners will be able differentiate the difference between their speaking, singing and shouting voice. In addition, they will be able use their singing voice to sing their choice of repertoire
