At the conclusion of the class, students are encouraged to complete a worksheet titled "My Plan." The instructions for this task are provided alongside the assignment. Homework given will take less than ten minutes per video.Class Experience
* I have added an additional video to this course. It is about how our behavior and words affect others. I wanted to add an update to be sure as my students needs change, I am addressing new issues that arise. NO LIVE CLASSES I teach in a fun, interactive way. All children are welcome in my classroom! On Monday morning, central time, I post the video for the week. Discussion posts are made on Wednesday morning. You can comment on the post, ask your own questions and/or message me privately on Outschool. I am always happy to help in any way I can. 1st โCanโt you take a joke?โ Is it joking or bullying? Some dark humor or not knowing when to stop causes an emotional reaction in others. Why do people do it? 2nd Not knowing when to be serious when it is necessary. When our behavior doesnโt match the situation. Needing to be center stage. 3rd Pranks and the drama they cause. Are they harmless, harmful or mean spirited? 4th Defusing or ignoring the situation! When we face the consequences of our actions. 5th How do we become more sensitive to other peopleโs feelings, handle our emotions and show empathy to others. The videos are shorter than a live class. Your child is welcome to pause, rewatch and take notes. Since this is not a live class with interaction, all of the information can be presented in a shorter time frame. Thus making it more informative and easier for students to sit through.

Parental Guidance
Topics such a politics and violence will not be discussed in this class. All topics will be age appropriate and specific to the curriculum listed above.
This class will be looking at many differing viewpoints. Not only from the standpoint of the person (for example) pulling a prank and hurting someone's feelings, but also from the standpoint of the person who is more sensitive in nature and may get thier feelings hurt more easily. There are more than one side to every viewpoint and we will look at many different perspectives on each topic.
