In this one time class, young botanists will learn the parts of a flower (petal, stem, leaf, root) and begin to understand the function of each through small experiments and worksheets.

Four worksheets are attached. Please have them printed for this class. Please cut plant labels BEFORE class starts. Crayons or colored pencils Glue stick One straw One damp sponge One bowl of water (about an inch or two of water will be enough) OPTIONAL: Bring a flower to show the class
