US Grade 3 - 6
This class is an ongoing 12 week semester-long class in Science covering these specific areas: Botany and Human Anatomy. Students may join at any time and drop in or stay for the entire series as it recycles back through topics. 📍Classes are very interactive with great discussions and sharing! Each week, students will engage in interactive, fun, and fascinating lessons while sharing their ideas on our topic that week. I will then provide additional materials for you to choose from at home, links to videos, games, printables, and occasional experiments. **These supplemental materials will vary depending upon the class topic. Students may also choose to take notes during class and there will be various models and visuals to demonstrate concepts. 🔹️Providing students with the opportunity to explore these unique science topics is my passion! I love to share and connect with each student and guide them in their curiosity. ~ Classes will not build upon each other as each topic is independent in this ongoing class Students will have ample time to discuss and share their ideas through guided questions. Since students learn differently, I will use a variety of images, simulations, demonstrations, games, and videos. 👉Class Topics: Week 1 - What is Botany? Plant Cell & Plant Anatomy Week 2 - Photosynthesis Fun Week 3 -Flowers, Leaves, Fruits, and Seeds (students can bring native specimens to share) Week 4 - Pollination Process (students may bring flowers to share) Week 5- Deciduous and Coniferous Trees (students may share native tree specimens) Week 6- Seasons and Botany: Changes Around the World (students may share about their season and any botany specimens: fruits, seeds, flowers, leaves...) There will be periodic optional videos, handouts, diagrams, and games placed in the classroom after class for students. Please note that nothing is required, but I provide resources for you to better comprehend topics discussed in class. I have our time structured in a relaxed environment to provide the opportunity for all learning styles to flourish. You are certainly welcome to sign up for one specific class selection as well. Please reach out to me with any questions.
Learning Goals
My goal for your child in our class is to spark their interest in many areas of Science! I will guide them in their curiosity to explore, uncover, and dig deeper into topics as questions arise in our classroom. All topics discussed will be appropriate for this age group of students and my expertise will guide them with additional materials provided after select classes.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from Pennsylvania State University
As a Registered Nurse, Educator, and explorer of nature, I have always had a passion for Anatomy and Botany. Each student can explore and share their passion for our subject topic. We are always learning from each other from all over the world!
Another passion of mine is Botany! I love discovering new plants, flowers, and trees with my students. While gardening in the Spring, (which is my favorite season) I developed by trial and error how to make my garden grow! Making mistakes and learning from each other is key to developing our knowledge. I can't wait to share and hear each student's idea about anatomy and botany. You will love to explore science in our classroom and engage in discovering together.
