Class Experience
Did your learner love my bath bomb chemistry class and wants to explore further? Over the course of three days, we will make three different luxurious botanical bath bombs: chamomile, lavender, and rose. At the beginning of each meeting, we will discuss the plant we will use that day, then, like the chemistry-based course, I will make the bath bomb, step by step, demonstrating as your leaner follows along at home. Baking Soda Citric Acid Corn Starch or Arrowroot Epsom Salt Shea Butter, melted Chamomile Flowers, dried Lavender Buds, dried Rose Petals, dried *Fragrance or Essential Oils *Food or Soap Coloring Large Bowl Measuring Device (the recipe uses “parts” to make it easy to enlarge) Mold Eye Protection *Optional
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This course uses Citric Acid. Although citric acid is used in foods and edible, it is harmful to the eyes and may etch some countertops. Students should wear eye protection, keep their hands away from their eyes, and protect the work surface.
