Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Making a filling and measuring all their ingredients to be prepared for this class gives learners a great opportunity to build on their maths and vocabulary skills in the culinary world. 
This course is for bakers ready to challenge themselves. Some baking experience is helpful. Like real pastry chefs, your learners will be using metric scales and measures so please read the full class description so you know what to expect and what your learner will need for equipment and inventory.  
We are professional chef instructors by trade and love learning (and sharing) different methods of food and bake preparation. 
Keep practicing your bake.
Required Equipment List: Stand Mixer With Whisk Attachment (electric hand mixer with whisk attachment can work) Kitchen Scale (with GRAM measures) Bowls of various sizes Sifter or small hole sieve Piping bag with #11 or #12 tip Cookie Sheet(s) Parchment paper or Silpat mat(s) Macaron Template (provided) Ingredients: Almond Flour Granulated Sugar or Fine Bakers or Caster Sugar Confectioners/icing Sugar Aqua Faba Gel Color (optional - if you want colored macarons)
Self
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Please help your student bakers if they are unfamiliar with the equipment or they will be using kitchen tools they've not had experience with.  You know your learner best and we welcome your assistance in the kitchen as we bake together.  The mise-en-place (measured ingredients) will require a bit of time to get it all together. Please help/guide your learner with their prep!
