In Back to School Boot Camp: High School Writing Essay Answers, students review and practice the steps to writing quality responses to essay questions. We begin with a warm-up by reading a brief paragraph and answering an essay question. Then students will objectively evaluate their essays to find specific areas to improve. Next we will discuss strategies that help students understand the components of essay questions and practice addressing each component. We will end by applying the strategies to several more practice questions, using both fiction and non-fiction practice texts.
