Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
Can you identify an animal using nothing but a nose? Never fear! Your faithful stuffie companion will be with you in class as you interact with other learners to take the nose picking challenge and see how many of these farm animals you can ID from the photos shown!

Learners will:
 * Bring their stuffies to class (optional)
 * Get a few minutes for introductions and sharing
 * Take the nose picking challenge
 * Learn different features and functions of farm animals

This class is discussion-based and uses photo prompts. Learners are encouraged to interact and participate verbally, taking turns answering and contributing to the class discussion. The first five minutes or so of class time will be dedicated to introductions, allowing for learners to break the ice, get used to talking, and share about the stuffies they brought with them.

This class uses a rural and low-bandwidth-friendly slideshow presentation.
Learning Goals
Learners will practice taking turns, critical thinking, and extrapolation. Stuffies help with confidence, speaking bodly, and moral support.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been homesteading for more than two decades: living on a timber farm, raising a garden, wildcrafting from forage, and raising various animals, including: horses, dairy goats, waterfowl, turkeys, chickens, rabbits, dogs, and cats. I also served as a veterinary assistant for seven years in a small animal clinic.
